Frequently Asked Questions
How big are the groups?
Small by design. Up to 8 participants in-person and up to 8 online each week, so there’s room for real attention and genuine connection.
What actually happens in a session?
Each 90-minute class blends three things: psycho-education (understanding what’s happening in your nervous system and why), gentle mindful movement based on trauma-informed yoga principles, and mindfulness-based relaxation.
Do I need yoga experience?
Not at all. The movement is gentle and accessible, designed for every body — regardless of flexibility, fitness level or previous experience.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
Possibly. While yoga is not claimable, Medicare rebates for group therapy may be available for the psycho education part if you’re eligible. Get in touch and we can talk through whether this applies to you.
Who facilitates the program?
Annemarie Menne — Clinical Psychologist and Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher. She developed Regulate & Restore in response to what she saw repeatedly in her clinical work, and from her own lived experience with stress and burnout.
How long is the commitment?
Four weeks — one 90-minute class per week.
