Frequently Asked Questions
How big are the groups?
Small by design. Up to 8 participants in-person and up to 8 online each week, so there’s room for real attention and genuine connection.
What actually happens in a session?
Each 90-minute class blends three things: psycho-education (understanding what’s happening in your nervous system and why), gentle mindful movement based on trauma-informed yoga principles, and mindfulness-based relaxation.
Do I need yoga experience?
Not at all. The movement is gentle and accessible, designed for every body — regardless of flexibility, fitness level or previous experience.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
Possibly. While yoga is not claimable, Medicare rebates for group therapy may be available for the psycho education part if you’re eligible. Get in touch and we can talk through whether this applies to you.
Who developed the program?
Annemarie Menne — Clinical Psychologist and Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher. She developed Elevate & Integrate (as well as other group programs) to help people integrate the ‘talking part’ of psychological therapy with actually feeling calmer, safer and more regulated in their minds and bodies.
How long is the commitment?
Six weeks — one 90-minute class per week.
What if I can't attend a class?
If you miss a class, we will try to offer a ‘make-up class’ at a later date (if or when available).
